STANDOUT BEAUTY LOOKS FROM THE SCREEN ACTORS GUILD (SAG) AWARDS



The just concluded 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet was first of it kind in the beauty verse of fashion chapter. From bold and bright lipsticks to playful hair moments even better from the back, there was plenty to keep you inspired. Below, see all the standout hair and makeup moments of the evening.



MILLIE BOBBY BROWN
Black ribbon-adorned double buns, glitter eye-shadow, and bubblegum pink lipstick make the Stranger Things Star look every bit the tween style icon she's become.




YARA SHAHIDI
A bold berry lip and glowing, flawless skin complemented the real highlight of the Grown-ish Star's look : her voluminous curls.




HALLE BERRY
Berry's bronzed makeup look was stunning, but it's her hair that really deserved a moment. The high pony was even better from the back, where you could see it's actually two-tiered and tousled just right.



LUPITA NYONG'O
Luminescent skin was the standout point of Nyong'o's beauty look, which was punctuated by rosy cheeks and her signature TWA.




MANDY MOORE
It's the subtle touch of blue at the inner conners of Moore's bronze-gold eye that make this look.




ALLISON JANNEY
A dress; this iconic deserved nothing less than a powerful hairstyle. Janney's low, sleek and straight long ponytail did the trick.




ALLISON WILLIAMS
Williams didn't just chop her hair into a Bob - it was actually pulled back into a barette. Cherry red lips added a classic Hollywood touch.




DASCHA POLANCO
If ever there was a time to use "mermaid hair" earnestly, this is it. Polanco's long, romantic waves are so good.



DANIELLE BROOKS
The orange is the New Black Star looked glamorous with her retro-looking finger wave hairstyle and bright red eye-shadow.




OLIVIA MUNN
Munn made a strong case for the center part with her glossy, straight strands, which hair stylist Chad Wood achieved with the new Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris.

One thing I notice in fashion businesses is the inability for the designers to believes in their selves as a business people, and this is one of the biggest hurdles in the growth of our businesses since there is lack of confidence in ourselves as a designer.  We tend to assume that we need to bend to what others are asking, instead of owning our worth as smart, capable, adaptable designers.      Many time, I hear people say  "I don’t have time to do everything." And it seem to be a common plight of a startup/running fashion business.      When you get involves in many things, it can feel overwhelming and impossible to get to the things that you need to in order to grow.       Yep! i understand. I’ve been there too, and to be candid it’s really difficult. But I want to tell you a few things.         First, of course nobody have the time to do everything. So, stop putting the pressure on yourself to "do it all," "be it all," "have it all." This pressure is debilitating and usually leads to no progress at all, rather than progress made in stages.      You can’t do everything at once. It’s not possible.
